About Gaza Mutual Aid

Gaza Mutual Aid is a newsletter blog with a simple premise: every weekday, we will feature the fundraising drive of an individual or family enduring the genocide in Gaza.

The blog will update every day at 9am Pacific Time/Noon Eastern time.

How does a fundraiser get featured?

Individuals and families can submit to be on the blog using our English form or our Arabic form. (Submissions to the English language form will be processed on a more speedy timeline due to translation constraints.)

How do you choose who to feature and when to feature them?

We feature individuals and families who submit their stories through our English or Arabic forms. Once we've completed our review process, we will typically enter the fundraiser into our queue on a rolling first-come, first-served basis (exceptions may be made for extremely urgent medical fundraisers).

How do you know an individual or family featured are who they say they are?

We are currently only featuring fundraisers hosted on GoFundMe and Chuffed due to the high barrier of entry for scammers on these platforms. While we cannot absolutely guarantee that people are who they say they are, we do vet requests to the best of our ability, and odds are that if the fundraiser is on GoFundMe or Chuffed, it is legitimate. GoFundMe will also refund your money if a user is found to be operating a scam.
